Q + A

What time should guests arrive?

Please plan to arrive around 3:00 PM.

Dress code?

Black cocktail attire preferred!

Any Additional Events?

There will be a Welcome Party from 7:30pm-9:30pm on Friday, December 19th to enjoy some drinks together the night before the wedding. The party is at the Tempo Hotel Pigeon Forge where our room block is and the dress code is casual.

Are Ubers/Lyfts available in the area?

Yes. However, according to the venue, they are on demand, so you must schedule them ahead of time to pick you up at 9PM.

Can we leave our cars overnight?

Yes, but the venue prefers that you organize transportation ahead of time to avoid any fines as the pick up time for cars the following morning is 9AM, which can be early after such a long night!

WHY WE CHOSE TENNESSEE

From the very beginning of our relationship, we’ve made a lot of sacrifices together — from long hours of studying and clinicals, to tight budgets, late nights, early mornings, and saying no to trips, dinners out, and downtime — all for the sake of our education, future careers, and the family we hope to have one day. That’s why, when it came time to plan our wedding, we knew we wanted to do something truly special — something that felt like a reward for everything we’ve worked through together. This wedding felt like the perfect opportunity to celebrate not just our love, but the resilience, dedication, and commitment that have been so paramount in the last three years, and Tennessee gave us the space and beauty to do just that. This is our one big moment to pause, breathe, and celebrate with the people who have meant the very most to us. We sincerely hope you can make the trip — but given the timing landing around the holidays, we completely understand if you’re unable to join us in person. Your love and support mean the world to us, no matter what!

What about the weather?

Despite being near the mountains, December in this part of Tennessee is typically cool but comfortable, with average temperatures ranging from the low to upper 50s (°F). We’ve been assured by locals — including our planners, vendors, and venue staff — that snow is very unlikely. In fact, it’s reached temperatures as high as 80 degrees in December more often than it’s snowed (unimaginable for us hoosiers)! If the weather allows, the ceremony will take place outdoors, with heated lamps available if needed. If it gets too chilly or rainy, we’ll move things inside. We do recommend bringing a warm layer or two just in case!

How is the drive?

Most of the drive is along Interstate 75, a smooth and well-maintained highway. The route is hilly at times but has no steep cliffs, sharp turns, or tight corners. My mom and I (Arianna) even made the trip ourselves to see it firsthand — during heavy rain — and it was still completely manageable and stress-free. There are plenty of places to stop for breaks, snacks, or gas along the way, so we hope the drive will be comfortable for everyone. The venue is near the Smoky Mountains but tucked into the foothills, so while there are some gentle hills and easy curves, there are no steep inclines or mountain driving to worry about. It’s easy to get to and very guest-friendly — we can’t wait to welcome you there!
