This story starts back in 2018 when Arianne convinced her friends to attend a Halloween party last minute with her on a Wednesday night. As fate would have it, she decided to borrow bunny ears from a friend for an easy costume and off they went into the swampy October night.

Michael found himself on that same night preparing for the party, desperately in need of a costume as well. Spotting a plush robe in a corner and pairing it with his friend’s sailor hat, he set off towards the party. It was there under the twinkling lights of a grubby, Gainesville, off-campus fraternity house that he spotted the cutest bunny he had ever seen. He knew in that moment he needed to get a picture with her for his instagram. After summoning the required courage, he approached her and the rest is history.

Michael and Arianne went on 2 dates in 2 weeks before Michael asked her to be his girlfriend. The validity of the first date is still debated between the two as Arianne believes that the first date wasn’t an actual date. Both Arianne and Michael finished off their final year at the University of Florida together in 2019. The pair briefly became semi-long-distance lovers when Arianne went on to do graduate school at UF and Michael pursued his masters at FSU.

Michael proposed in December 2021 in front of their families at Disney Springs. Shortly after that, their long-distance relationship officially commenced when Michael moved to Virginia for work and Arianne stayed in Florida. For the next two years, the pair would spend the time jet setting up and down to see each other. The distance increased even more the next year when Arianne moved back to Guyana.

Now, almost six years since the start of it all, Michael and Arianne are finally getting married. Did they pick a date so everyone could stop asking them "when is the wedding" ? Maybe! But pull out your dancing shoes, pop some bubbly and dress to the nines because the wait is finally over!
