Our Wedding

It all began in 2018 when we met in college. We were both enrolled in the same class, Diversity Issues. From the very first day, I couldn’t help but notice him. I would sneak glances back at him during class, hoping to catch his eye. When he did look my way, I’d quickly turn back around. I had a crush on him from the very start, but I did not have the courage to speak to him or even sit a little bit closer. Toward the end of the semester, our professor announced a group project. The groups would be assigned randomly, and as luck would have it, we ended up in the same group. I finally got my chance to meet and talk to him. Our first group meeting outside of class was memorable, but not for the best reasons—at least on my part. I wanted to make a great impression, so I spent extra time doing my hair and makeup, which made me late. Aside from this, it turned out to be the start of something special. At this time, we exchanged phone numbers and joined a group chat to discuss our project work. I was happy to finally have his number, but I still didn’t expect much at this point. As the semester came to a close, I figured that our conversations and opportunities to speak to each other would end there as well. But life had other plans. A little while later, I saw that he had tried to contact me on a social media website that was connected to our phone numbers. I couldn't contain my excitement, so I accepted the request immediately. For weeks, we both posted stories without directly speaking. My stories were often subtly aimed at him, hoping he’d reply. And finally, he did! After getting to know each other and spending time together for about three to four months, we decided to make it official on March 1st, 2019. Looking back, I’m so glad fate put us in that group together. The last six years have been an incredible adventure, filled with love, laughter, and growth. We’ve had time to build a strong foundation and an unbreakable bond. Now, we’re so excited to start this new chapter of our lives as we get ready to say “I do.”
