Dylan moved to Wabash in November of 2022 to join the Wabash Fire Department. Not even three weeks into working in Wabash, one of his co-workers, Dan Dyson, asked if he was single. Dylan was very hesitant at first but then told Dan he was. Dan told him he had a girl for him that he should reach out and ask on a date, but needs to do it soon because she is only home for a few days over Christmas Break. After going back and forth Dylan decided to text this girl a very smooth message asking her to coffee at Modoc's downtown Wabash. Ariel, which turns out to be Dan's cousin, said yes and over Christmas Break they had a 3 hour coffee date, which made Dylan miss the Chief of the Fire Department's first Christmas Party. After that, Ariel returned back to Taylor to finish up her senior basketball season and throughout the next couple of months they saw each other periodically since Ariel lived in Upland and Dylan lived in Wabash. Throughout the next year they hit many milestones together. Ariel graduated from Taylor and accepted a teaching job at her former elementary school and began coaching. Dylan completed his probationary year at the fire department and is now a first class fireman. He also works on Dale Farms with his future father in law. Together they now love spending time with family, doing devotionals, going to the lake, hunting, challenging each other to anything sports related. In November, Dylan asked Ariel to marry him by convincing her that they were putting up a deer blind that actually led to finding a deer antler in the woods that had a ring on it. Safe to say, Dylan since day 1 has tried to be a smooth man, now whether Ariel believes it every time and says that, may be different.
