How We Met

Justin and I met in 2014 at both of our first jobs out of college, UPS, in San Antonio, TX. I first noticed Justin when he was participating in a work fundraiser and was trying to sell water bottles. When he approached my desk to try and sell me one, I thought he was very handsome and flirted with him by busting his chops for trying to sell water bottles that weren't even cold!

Later on, I told one of my friends that I thought this guy was super cute but didn't know his name. However, using my investigative skills I soon found out his name was Justin Baker.

The next day at work, he was walking around selling those warm water bottles again near one of my friend’s desk when she sent me an instant message saying “your man is over here.” Jokingly, I started messaging her saying “Mrs. Baker has a nice ring to it.” AND SHE SHOWED HIM! Luckily, he didn’t think I was a psychopath and said “Ariel said that? Ariel Hunt?!” I found out later he had already knew who I was and had noticed me while he was in training months before.

We started hanging out with our work friends and he eventually asked me out on a date. Now look where we are… on our way to becoming the Bakers!

How He Asked

I started planning a belated birthday party for Justin at our friend's lake house. Most of our friends live in San Antonio so he wanted to do something with everyone. Little did I know, behind my back Justin changed the plans of it being a birthday celebration for him to it being our engagement! He got all of our closest friends to come and rented two boats to take over to Horseshoe Bay Resort for "brunch." So, we all piled onto the boats and he proposed on the boat in the middle of Horseshoe Bay!

We then went over to the Horseshoe Bay Resort where he had rented a few cabanas for everyone to hang out and celebrate in. When we walked in to the resort, I was surprised to see both of our parents there waiting for us!

It was an amazing day and was so awesome to share it with our friends and family.
