While we do have a registry, we have just purchased our very first home and we would greatly appreciate cash gifts or money towards our “New Home Fund” found on our registry. However, we do not expect anything—we are just looking forward to celebrating with you on our special day!!

Our Wedding

For those that don't know how Miles and I met--here is a little more information on our love story! Miles and I have known each other since 6th grade and went through high school together. We actually "dated" in middle school and can still remember the times we went to the movies together back then. Secretly, I always had a crush on him through high school, but the timing was never quite right for us. We went our separate ways for college--I stayed in Edmond, Oklahoma for nursing school while Miles went to Briar Cliff University in Iowa where he studied criminal justice. Miles has been visiting Salida, Colorado for many years since his grandma owned a cabin here and he had always wanted to move here eventually. After college, he went through the police academy in Colorado Springs and eventually became a patrol officer for Salida Police Department--he has recently been promoted to detective! Miles and I continued to follow each other on social media through the years--eventually one day I had posted to my Instagram story that I wanted to go to a Red Rocks Concert, which is in Morrison, CO, for a Whiskey Myers concert. Miles took the opportunity to direct message me and said, "let's go!" I, of course, said yes, however I didn't know how serious he was. A few minutes later, he sent me a picture of his receipt for two concert tickets and that was that. Even before we went to the concert in summer of 2022, I was a travel nurse at the time working in Tucson, Arizona and Miles came to see me that April. It was the first time we'd seen each other since high school, and it turned out to be the best time either of us could've imagined. We dated long distance for another year and a half until I moved to Colorado in September of 2023. Since then, we have fallen even more in love with each other and cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
