On a whim, Cam decided to meet up with his friends Sam and Rosalie one night instead of going home to Queens. He met Rosalie’s friend Ariel over lychee martinis and they were instantly enamored with one another. After that, it took until Rosalie’s birthday a few months later for them to meet up again and Cam knew he had to ask Ariel out. On their first two dates, they talked for so long that the staff had to kindly ask them to leave at closing time. Since then, they have been inseparable.


Then COVID hit and shut down New York City. They returned to their parents’ houses which were a convenient 40 minute drive apart. While at home, they got to know and love each other’s families and weather the pandemic through long canal walks with their friend Stephen, and watching TV with Neptune, Triton, Chance and Annabel. After returning to the city and moving into their Manhattan apartment, the adventures reignited. Between relaxing on the beach at LBI, spending time with friends in the city, and watching Cam fall down mountains on ski trips, they fell even more deeply in love.


They had known they wanted to marry each other early into dating and with a 6 month plan in the works, Cam fulfilled Ariel’s dream of a Paris proposal. With the help of their then-Parisian friends Becca and Sawyer, Cam proposed in a park near the Eiffel Tower on a magically sunny and clear day! Deciding to marry each other was the best and easiest decision they have ever made. They are beyond excited to share their special day with their families and friends.
