Some love stories begin with fireworks, while others unfold quietly over time, waiting for the perfect moment to bloom. Ours is the latter—a story of patience, destiny, and the unbreakable bond that has always connected us.

We first crossed paths in 2008 at Serena High School. Back then, we were just two young souls navigating the same hallways, barely exchanging a word. Life took us in separate directions, each of us embarking on our own journeys, facing the highs and lows that shaped us into who we are today.

Then, in November of 2021, fate intervened. Somehow, as if guided by an unseen force, our paths converged once more. This time, we were older, wiser, and ready for what was meant to be. A slow and steady friendship became the foundation for something deeper—something real. After everything life had put us through, we finally felt it: the kind of love that is steady, healing, and true.

A year into our journey together, on New Year’s Eve of 2022, Tyler got down on one knee and asked Ariel to spend forever with him. She said yes! Over the last few years, our love has only deepened, growing stronger with every adventure, every challenge, and every precious moment shared with our amazing son, Eric. Together, we have explored new places, discovered new music, and savored new foods. We have stood hand in hand in so many amazing places throughout the country and beyond. And together, we have poured our hearts into building a nonprofit, devoted to helping those in recovery—because love, in its purest form, is about lifting each other up.

There is an ancient Chinese proverb that speaks of an invisible red thread connecting those who are destined to be together. Though it may stretch and tangle, it will never break. That is us—Ariel and Tyler. From the hallways of high school to the sun-kissed beaches of Costa Mujeres, that thread has held strong, guiding us back to where we were always meant to be: together.
