Our Wedding

On January 9th 2023, Harrison got Arielle’s number from a mutual friend and texted her for the first time. Unbeknownst to the both of them this was the start of something beautiful. Neither one knew that the other one was an answered prayer in their life. Harrison prayed to find a partner that would bring him out of his shell and Arielle simply prayed for a 2023 Valentine. Three weeks into texting they had their first FaceTime call and from there they FaceTimed once a week until they finally decided to meet in person. On March 17th, Harrison flew out to Madison to meet Arielle in real life and on the 18th he asked her to be his girlfriend! In May, Arielle went to visit Harrison in Texas for the first time and honestly it was like a fever dream.. but in the best way possible! From a wedding to a stolen car.. it was an exciting weekend! Neither one of them wanted to say goodbye and it was at this point that Harrison thought about moving to Madison. By July, Harrison had done just that! He had picked up and moved to the Midwest! It was a whirlwind. From their first Renaissance Faire and their first couples costumes together to Harrison’s first Holt Christmas, it was a year full of amazing “firsts.” After another wedding, this time in Boston, Harrison knew the time to take the next step in their relationship was near. Arielle let him know she was ready too but Harrison made her wait a few months anyway! A little after a year of dating, Harrison popped the question, taking Arielle by total surprise! The year leading up to the engagement was one full of many blessings, a lot of ups (a couple downs but we wont talk about those) and a ton of answered prayers. Both Harrison and Arielle are so excited to start this new chapter together. They can’t wait to celebrate with all of their friends and family and to see where life takes them next!

Arielle and Madeline have known each other since they were 3 and 4 years old and have been inseparable since middle school. Growing up, if you saw Madeline, chances are Arielle wasn’t too far behind! They’ve always known they would be each other’s maid of honor/matron of honor and since Arielle has already served her time as MoH, its time to pass that title over to Madeline!

The story of how Arielle and Daniella came to be best friends is a wild one. It does involve villainy and attempted MAN STEALING. If you want to know more about that.. you’ll have to ask for that story in person. Daniella is one of the most consistent and real people in Arielle’s life so having her as a MoH is a no brainer!

Emily is somebody that Arielle knows will ride for her in almost any circumstance. She is somebody who you can sit and chat with until 5 am recounting the same story over and over again AND she is somebody who you KNOW is going to be a good time at a party. She’s the best of both worlds. Think of somebody who is sincere, funny kind and caring.. Emily is that person!

Arielle studied the Bible with Sonja many moons ago and they have been friends ever since! Sonja is the definition of somebody who is loyal and she is somebody who absolutely wants the best for Arielle. Never one to shy away from telling her genuine thoughts, Sonja has always kept it real with Arielle about her relationship.. always being sure to give advice when necessary but always being a supportive friend. Sonja is an amazing person to have on your team!

Joy is one of those people who is literally good at everything and is beautiful and perfect and amazing AND DESPITE ALL OF THAT she is still so down to earth, easy to talk with,  laugh with and to just have a blast with. Joy was with Arielle when she got her first text from Harrison and has been an amazing support to Arielle throughout their years long friendship!

Have you ever heard of the phrase “fast friends?” Well that was not Arielle and Sally! Arielle met Sally at camp in 2012 and it was NOT love at first sight. It took them several years, and several interactions before they actually became good friends and Arielle is literally SOOO glad they did. Sally is somebody whose high energy and passion and love for her friends makes her just the type of person that Arielle loves to have as a big part of her life! (The fact that she also loves trips to Disney is a cherry on top of this beautiful friendship)

If you ask Denise, she would probably say “the first couple times I met Arielle.. she was sooo cranky and moody.” Arielle would then say “I LITERALLY HAD STREP THROAT AND WAS DYING.” Regardless, they are friends now and that’s all that matters! Arielle admires and looks up to Denise’s “go with the flow, low stress” attitude because Arielle is the exact opposite and WISHES she could obtain some of that! Denise is somebody who is SO easy to talk with,  is always down for anything and is an all around dope friend.. which Arielle appreciates deeply!

Arielle’s little JuJu Bean! Some might say.. Julie is the reason for this wedding. Julie gave Harrison, Arielle’s number and the rest his history. Julie’s love for fun and life are unmatched. She is a true girls girl! Being that Julie set Arielle and Harrison up, Arielle told her that if things worked out with him.. she would be a bridesmaid.. enough said.

Alec was one of the first people Harrison really bonded with. Another transplant to Madison, both were learning to navigate a new city and became fast friends. Alec has proven to be a man of noble character and of sound advice. Harrison truly values and appreciates all that Alec does, and he deserves the title of best man.

Chris is the middle sibling of the Holt Clan, and he definitely gives off older sibling energy. Always the life of the party, but never pushing anyone to give more than they can. A great teacher, friend, and disciple. Chris took Harrison under his wing and made sure he never felt out of place or left out. An older brother Harrison never expected , but needed. Chris is definitely one of Harrison’s best men.

Will is the oldest and Harrison was definitely nervous the first time meeting him. Being the eldest, Harrison was unsure how protective Will could be. Well, Will made sure to bring Harrison in and care for him too. He made Harrison’s first (and only) Wisconsin Old Fashion and made him feel like family. Since becoming a father, Will has dedicated most of his time to his son, but always has time to talk and be real. Harrison couldn’t ask for a better brother in law

Will Holt

Mason is one of Harrison’s oldest friends. From church camp, to meeting again in college, they have really watched each other grow. Mason, always the stoic, was an amazing friend and confidant throughout the years in Texas. Mason has always been a constant and loyal person with Harrison and the value that brings us second to none. Harrison had the honor of being a groomsman in Mason’s wedding, and Harrison is all to excited to ask him to do the same. 

Mason Condra

Jaime was the twin brother Harrison found out of nowhere. After a few introductions, and false starts, they found they could talk for hours about Dungeons and Dragons, video games and life. Jaime was the first person Harrison told when he knew he loved Arielle, and has always been a supporter. Jaime also made sure Harrison was looked after while he was bouncing around homes. Harrison had to have his old dungeon master and friend stand with him.

Herb was one of the people Harrison met while studying and living in San Antonio. More experienced in life, he always made sure to update Harrison on how to walk in this world and not make to much of a fool of himself. That being said, sometimes, you just have to laugh at life and move on, because your past doesn’t define you, you do. Although Harrison is no longer in San Antonio, he still recalls all his time spent with Herb fondly, and had to have him stand up with him to watch his next phase in life begin.
