How do I RSVP?
To keep things easy on the bride and groom, all you need to do is go to the RSVP section of this website. We ask that you kindly RSVP by February 15th, even if you are unable to attend! We have to give our venue a head count in advance so we can't accept late RSVPs.
What about parking and transportation (for those flying down/staying at the hotel)?
Primarily, the Crowne Plaza Oceanfront Melbourne Beach has a shuttle that runs from the Melbourne Airport (MLB) to the hotel directly. If you're able to fly into MLB, you can call the hotel for more details about that.
Additionally, the hotel will be running 2 shuttles to the church around 1 PM, for the first 24 people to get there. Otherwise, an Uber from the hotel to the church was about $12.
Please carpool, Uber, and take advantage of the shuttle!
What about parking and transportation (for those who are driving/renting a car)?
The church has PLENTY of parking! Please feel free to park anywhere that you would like, you can't confuse which building is the church, so just park anywhere.
The hotel does have a parking lot that is across the street, there is a shuttle from the lot to the lobby, AND a walkway that goes over the street. Beachfront real estate is prime, so no parking on the same side as the hotel (sorry!), but they've made it super easy to get across! It is $16 to self-park.
What is the Dress Code?
We would love to see all of our loved ones dressed up for our big day! The dress code is formal but colorful -it's a springtime wedding! Ladies, please wear your favorite dress & gentlemen wear your favorite suit. Please note that the ceremony is a Catholic Mass, so it may be a little chilly, but the cocktail hour is outside under a tent on the beach and the reception is indoors.
We’re highly encouraging outfit changes! Ladies, bring some cute comfy shoes to dance the night away in!!! There’s a purposeful time gap so that way everyone can have time to change and freshen up. We do have a hospitality room so everyone will be able to hang out there while waiting.
What time should I arrive?
The Mass at Ascension Catholic Church will begin promptly at 2 PM. For this reason, we recommend arriving by 1:30 PM to get your seat and be settled (McDermott family, this is specifically to you, be early!) Groomsmen and the immediate family will begin arriving at 1 PM to get photos.
Can I bring a date?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests specifically on the invitation. When you go to RSVP on this website, the names of those specifically invited will pop up. Thank you so much for understanding!
Can I bring my little ones?
Just as it is stated above, those specifically named in the RSVP are the only ones allowed to attend. We love all the little ones, but we are limiting them for our wedding. Please use this as an excuse to celebrate a child-free night!!
What kind of ceremony is this?
This will be a full Catholic Mass/Wedding. Normal Mass lasts about an hour, and of course this will be a little longer because of the wedding component. Additionally, when the time comes to distribute the Precious Body and Blood, if you are not Catholic or are a Catholic not in a state of grace, please come up for a blessing by crossing your arms in front of your chest as you approach the altar.
What are the reception vibes?
This is a fusion of families and traditions. There will be great food, good laughs, a rocking music set list (complete with a Bride and Groom “Money Dance”) and of course, wedding cake!
Will there be an open bar?
OF COURSE! The drinks are on us the entire night, but the hangover will be on you! We also will have 3 signature cocktails based on our fur babies that will be super delicious! Dancing is absolutely a requirement at our wedding. Please drink responsibly and DO NOT drive if you've consumed alcohol. We want everyone we love so dearly to be so safe!!
Can we take photos and videos on our phones?
We respectfully ask that all our guests keep their phones and cameras away for the majority of the ceremony. We are celebrating Mass all together, so please be respectful if you're going to just take a picture or two (NO flash please.). We want everyone to be fully present with us during this intimate time. We have hired amazing photographers and videographers to capture the ceremony, and don't worry, we will share all those photos with you! There are no such rules at the reception, though…and we will have photo spots for you!
How can I share the photos and videos I took on my phone with everyone?
Great question! We are creating a Google Photos album that can be easily shared with everyone. By using the link, you will be able to view, add, and download every photo and video that has been added. We will use that link to later share all the professional photos and videos too. The link is: https://photos.app.goo.gl/YVTn1YGNaNWr3iKQ9
The QR code below can also be used to access the album.
Please use the #MarryingMonteleone when you post on social media!
