On February 26, 2016, a former coworker of mine, Zach Willemssen, was celebrating his birthday party with his wife. I was extended an invitation to go play pool with them. Unbeknownst to me, Zach had also invited his brother-in-law, Benjamin Huether (with every intention of setting us up). Ironically, Zach had been trying to set us up on a blind date for over 5 years! The timing had never seemed to work out quite the way we had thought it would.

In 2011, Zach had first tried to convince me that Benjamin was a good fit because we shared the same faith. As my relationship with Benjamin has strengthened, we have bonded and delighted in reading God's word, praying together, and making God the center of our relationship. We realize now that our story is an answer to prayers by us, our families, and our friends.

After our first encounter, Benjamin orchestrated a game night at his house with Zach and Benjamin's sister, Jennifer. Benjamin slaved in the kitchen that evening making chicken alfredo to impress the lady...After a few more dates, Benjamin asked me to be his girlfriend and I gladly accepted! A few months into the relationship, we knew that this was something special. On October 9, 2016, Benjamin asked for my hand in marriage. We look forward to you joining us on this special occasion!
