Our Wedding

Our story started with a Bumble match, where Jess wowed Asher with her witty banter (or so she thought!). It turns out, Asher agreed to meet because he thought Jess was cute—and the rest is history! We met in Moncton for our first date, Asher nervously led Jess on a perfectly Google-mapped walk after coffee, trying to play it casual while making sure everything went just right. Jess noticed his thoughtfulness immediately and sent her number just minutes after the date ended—not necessarily "playing it cool" , but making sure Asher knew she was just as interested as he was! Since then, we’ve built a life full of adventure, laughter, and shared dreams. We quickly realized how much we had in common, from favourite activities and vacation spots to how much we love our families. One of the first things Asher shared on his Bumble profile was his ideal date: pizza and cokes at the beach. Jess surprised him one night at New River Beach after work, and it was as fun as he’d thought. We also share a love for being near the water. Whether it’s lazy afternoons at Asher’s family’s lake house in Nova Scotia, Sunday trips to the beach after church, or quiet evenings watching the sunset over the river, some of our best memories are tied to the places where the water meets the sky. Asher's proposal was a reflection of this same love -- after hiking Bald Peak with Jess’ siblings, we took the long way home along the river at sunset. Asher pulled over near the spot where we dream of buying a home, and we spent the moment talking about our future, our hopes, and our dreams. When he asked if Jess wanted to spend forever together, it was an easy yes! Now, we’re so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you.
