Our Wedding

Anna and Asher’s story began on a rainy evening at Isaac and Naomi Wright's wedding on September 23, 2023. The reception was full of energy, with friends and family laughing and celebrating the newlyweds. The atmosphere was joyful, and everything seemed perfect. As the night went on, the opening notes of "Faithfully" by Journey started playing, instantly catching Asher’s attention. It was one of his favorite songs, and he knew he had to get on the dance floor and enjoy it to the fullest. As he scanned the room for a dance partner, he found himself surrounded by unfamiliar faces. He hesitated for a moment, unsure who to ask, but that’s when Anna’s mother, Angie, spotted the perfect opportunity. With a knowing smile, she nudged Anna and gently pushed her towards Asher, encouraging her to join him on the dance floor. With much hesitation, Anna found herself in Asher’s arms, and the two began to dance together. The music, the moment, and the connection between them felt effortless. What started as a simple dance turned into something much more meaningful, a bond that neither of them could have predicted. As the song played on, they realized this night would mark the beginning of a beautiful 'journey' together. Asher then asked Anna out on a date later that night, and the rest is history.

HOW WE MET

On the evening of December 21, 2024, Asher planned a special moment for Anna at one of their favorite hiking spots along the St. Croix River in Wisconsin. The winter air was crisp, and the sunset cast a warm glow over the snowy landscape, setting the perfect scene. Asher chose this location not just for its beauty, but because it was a place full of memories for them. They had hiked there often, shared laughs, and talked about their future. Asher was now ready to make that future even more certain. Anna had no idea that this hike would be different from any other. As they stood together, Asher took a deep breath and asked, “Will you marry me?”Anna paused, smacked Asher, and yelled, "You lied to me!" Asher had told her he didn’t have a ring, but in reality, he’d had it for over a month, waiting for the right moment. After the surprise wore off, Anna eagerly said yes. Just as the sun set, another surprise awaited Anna. Asher had organized a surprise party with their closest friends and family, who were nearby, ready to celebrate. Surrounded by loved ones, Anna’s heart was full, and the evening was filled with love, laughter, and the promise of their future together. The St. Croix River and the surprise party made for the perfect way to start this next chapter in their lives.
