As the world slowed down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ashisha and Gregor broke all the restriction rules by meeting online and starting to date. At first, it was a slow and unpredictable start—Ashisha canceled their first date because she was out with friends, dancing soca at a beach carnival event. But Gregor, the romantic he is, planned a series of sweet dates that would win Ashisha's heart over. He surprised her with a cute picnic, lovely dinners, and occasional bike rides as they got to know each other. Their story is a testament to the idea that in the chaos of life, you must stop and smell the roses. Emerging from mile-a-minute lifestyles, they were forced to slow down at the height of the pandemic. Despite their seemingly different worlds, their underlying similarities—love of dance, humor, family, and adventure—brought them together. They spent many weekends together, which turned into weeks, and then decided to move in together as their connection grew. With the dust settling and the world reopening, Ashisha and Gregor emerged stronger and happier than ever. They had everything they needed in each other, and there was no longer a drive for the hectic pace of their previous lives. Finally, in August 2023, Gregor planned the ultimate surprise—a proposal in breathtaking Croatia. Ashisha thought they were just going to visit the ancient streets of Dubrovnik, but little did she know Gregor would stop by a beautiful winery on the mountains to pop the question.
