04.11.21 Update

Current Venue Guidelines

Masking

Masks are currently required to be worn by everyone, including the couple, upon entering your event venue. The couple may remove their masks once inside their rented space for the duration of the rental time frame.

Masks need to be worn at all times by all guests regardless of their vaccination status, with the following exceptions:

Guests/Wedding Party who are actively engaged in walking down the aisle or standing during the ceremony (all other guests should leave masks on during the ceremony)

Guests who are actively engaged in posing for professional photography (all guests waiting to have their photo taken should leave masks on until the photo is actually being taken)

Guests who are actively engaged in eating and drinking (note that eating and drinking should only be done while sitting; guests standing up or walking must have a mask on)

Bar Service & Dancing

To promote mask wearing, Phipps is currently limiting alcohol service at events. Right now events may host bar service for 2.5 hours in total over the course of the rental time frame. Phipps is currently only serving beer and wine, and no liquor is being served at events. This restriction has the potential to change/loosen over the next few months.

Dancing is permitted, but is not encouraged. Please know that if your guests do get up and dance during reception, we will not intervene unless masks are removed.

Compliance with these rules is absolutely vital for safety, without exceptions. Guests in violation will be given a warning. If multiple warnings must be given, the event may be shut down without a refund.

02.08.2021 update

Due to the current Covid-19 advisories at both the state and federal level, we plan to follow the necessary guest capacity regulations for our celebration.

This may result in a reduction of guest count (before or after invitations have been mailed). We will maintain communication through our wedding website. Thank you for your patience and love. And, as always, please stay safe and healthy.

FAQs

1) How many people are invited?

-While Bryan and I are taking the pandemic very seriously, we've chosen to remain optimistic in our planning. There are roughly 130 of our nearest and dearest on our invitation list. This number may be reduced before or after invitations have been mailed to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

2) Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

-Outdoors. We'll be getting married in the outdoor garden at Phipps Conservatory.

3) Will you encourage social distancing?

-Yes!

4) Are masks required?

-It's a little early to say for certain, but I expect we'll all still be masking up in June.
