Our Story

Some love stories begin with a spark — ours began with a friendship built on shared faith, community, and a few too many youth band outings.

We first met as children growing up in The Salvation Army, attending youth music programs, camps, and events that shaped our values and brought us into each other’s lives. In fact one summer, Ashlee learned to play alto horn on Jonathan’s instrument. Over the years, we built a bond grounded in trust, laughter, and a deep understanding of where we came from.

Life took us on separate paths for a while — through school, growth, and finding our place in the world — but God wasn’t finished with our story. As young adults, we reconnected. This time, something was different. What started as catching up quickly turned into something deeper. The friendship that had always been there quietly transformed into love.

Now, we’re continuing our journey together — hand in hand, heart in heart, and always with a purpose greater than ourselves. We’re grateful to be surrounded by the people who’ve supported us along the way, and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you.
