Back in 2019 Ashlee met Taylor working at Snow Trails. They became good friends and Taylor asked her to bartend her wedding. This is where Nathan and Ashlee first met. As one of the groomsmen, it was Nate’s duty to be at the bar as often as possible, where Ash may have served him one too many. This is also where she met her future parents-in-law (great first impression, sending their son home in the back seat of their car).

A few weeks later, they ran into each other again. Ash recognized him right away and asked a mutual friend to reintroduce them. They talked all night and later Nathan couldn’t resist stalking her on Facebook. He began a conversation, and a first date was put into the books.

For some ridiculous reason the two agreed to travel all the way to Cleveland where they would be stuck in a car with a possible serial killer. Turns out, it was worth it. The drive forced them to fill the awkward space with conversations about music and other common interests. They arrived at Brewnuts where they shared donuts and some of the best beer ever. Little did they know, while they were enjoying each other’s company, they were accidently attending someone’s wake (now, that’s awkward). They quickly left there and went to 16-Bit where they smacked everyone at Giant Jenga (pretty sure they ended someone else’s relationship). They both knew that night, they had found the one they’d be with forever.

When Covid came, it forced their relationship to move 1000x quicker. Within a few months they were living together and loving every minute of it. About a year after their first date, they were engaged. While this all very exciting, they were blessed with something even bigger. After believing they would not be able to have children, Maya came into the world. They decided they wanted to grow their family by one more prior to getting married and along came Brooks. They’ve created a beautiful life together and now they just have one last thing to do-share the same last name.
