Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe (and as Dan would argue, a second swipe). What started as a simple connection on Hinge quickly turned into something much more—easy conversations, effortless laughter, and the unmistakable feeling that we’d stumbled onto something special.

Our first messages were filled with top-tier flirting (while overthinking every emoji), and somehow we convinced each other to go on a real date. Thankfully, neither of us turned out to be a serial killer, a catfish, or someone who chews with their mouth open—which felt promising.

Our first date at Ti Amo confirmed what our messages had been hinting at: being together just felt right. One date turned into two, two turned into “Wait… are we doing this?”, and soon we were sharing snacks, inside jokes, and the kind of wildly specific TikToks that mean you’ve found your person.

Somewhere between Ashlee winning at Yahtzee (to Dan’s chagrin), Dan winning at bowling (to Ashlee’s chagrin), great conversations, Sonic drinks and “Of course, we can stop by Cracker Barrel to investigate their salt and pepper shaker collection,” we realized we were in love.

So now we’re getting married. Yes, voluntarily. And we can’t wait to celebrate with all the people who watched this whole Hinge experiment turn into something real.
