Thomas had been visiting Los Alamos regularly since 2018, working on his PhD. Ashleigh moved to New Mexico in the fall of 2019 for a job after college.&nbsp;The two met in July 2021 over Hinge (or was it Bumble?). They connected over a love of Star Wars, and enjoyed concerts in the park and visits to local breweries through the remainder of the summer. In September, Thomas returned back to school in Pennsylvania. The two kept in touch. There were lots of visits back and forth between New Mexico and the east. Thomas finally completed his PhD in the summer of 2023, and officially moved to Los Alamos that fall. Thomas proposed on their favorite local trail on November 11, 2023. Shortly after, their offer on a home was accepted. The year 2024 has been a hectic year: moving, renovations, and planning a wedding. Throughout it all, the steadfast truth has been their love and devotion to each other. They are so excited to finally be married and to celebrate with you all.

Thank you for making the trip to celebrate with us!

We know that many of our guests are traveling from out-of-state. To make things easier, we have reserved a Room Block at a hotel near the wedding venue. We will also have a shuttle running from the hotel to the venue. We recommend flying into the local airport (Albuquerque International Sunport), and then using Uber, Lyft, or a rental car to the hotel.

We have reserved a Room Block at the Marriott Albuquerque! We highly recommend getting a room at this hotel, or a nearby hotel, to easily use the complimentary shuttles.

Our venue has very limited parking. Please plan to utilize our complimentary shuttles! They will be driving from the Marriott Albuquerque to Nature Pointe at 2:05pm for the ceremony and reception. They will then take guests back to the Marriott Albuquerque after the reception at 10pm. If you will not be riding the shuttle, please plan to utilize Uber or Lyft. This will minimize parking issues, and keep everyone safe after visiting the open bar at the reception!

SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT ALTITUDE SICKNESS? 

Maybe! Everyone is different, but some may feel the effects of altitude sickness around 5,000 feet above sea level. Albuquerque sits at 5,312 feet, and most of the state is even higher. Here are a few tips to avoid altitude sickness. 1. Drink Water! Bonus points for electrolytes like Gatorade. 2. Potassium! Eat bananas and potatoes on your travels. 3. Take it easy! Don’t plan a big hike on your first day here. 4. Be careful with alcohol. 1 drink at altitude equals 2 at sea level.

This is where Thomas and Ashleigh got engaged! If you have time to drive into the Jemez Mountains, we highly recommend this hiking trail. It's easy and beautiful.
