Chris and Ashleigh met on Facebook Dating in September 2021. Although Chris felt some tension about Ashleigh being outside his dating range, he was intrigued by her message that resonated with his own: "I'm an extroverted introvert." Their first date was a Thomas Rhett concert, one of Ashleigh's favorite musicians, so Chris was starting on the right foot. Their second date took them to the stunning Red Rocks in Colorado for a Tyler Childers concert, one of Chris's favorites. Their parents were skeptical about their trip after just a couple of weeks of knowing each other. Still, Ashleigh was convinced that this adventure would be a telling sign of the seriousness of their relationship. And it turned out to be just that.

Over the next few years, Chris and Ashleigh dedicated themselves to visiting each other in Connecticut and Boston, discovering a shared passion for travel, music, and hiking. Throughout this journey, Ashleigh's beloved fur child, Meeko, grew to adore Chris, often showing him as much affection, if not more, than for her.

Their love story took a momentous turn on June 14, 2024, when Chris proposed to Ashleigh in Berlin, Germany. Ashleigh was teaching abroad at the time, and he decided to surprise her with a romantic engagement at the iconic Berlin Tiergarten. After Chris popped the question, they celebrated the momentous occasion with her students, who were thrilled to be part of such a joyous event.

With their hearts full and spirits high, they began their European adventures, capturing their love through engagement photos in the enchanting streets of Siena, Italy (Ashleigh's favorite place in the world). Each destination brought them closer, and their shared experiences only deepened their bond as they explored new cultures and created lasting memories together.
