Our Wedding

Back in March of 2020, two weeks before the pandemic, Jon and Ashleigh began their journey to becoming EMT's. Little did they know, VBEMS Academy 38 would also bring them a life long love. Ashleigh and Jon met during the academy but didn't really start hanging out with each other until late 2020 when Ashleigh joined Jon's study group in preparation for the NREMT exam. Their friendship grew over the next year while they shared the joys and struggles that come with being a first responder. During this time they learned they had similar interests such as their love of all things Star Wars, working out, golf and trying new beers at various breweries. The night of Ashleigh's rescue squad's banquet in November 2021, they officially began dating. Fast forward to 2022, Jon bought a house and they began their next chapter by moving in together. As a couple they've made the house a home and love gardening in their backyard, dancing in the kitchen and cheering on one of Jon's many sports teams (Padres, Blackhawks, Hokies). Ashleigh and Jon knew they wanted to spend their lives together and in August of 2023, Jon proposed to Ashleigh on her birthday! Not only was the engagement a surprise, but Jon also surprised Ashleigh by having one of her best friends there. It was truly a birthday to remember! They could not be more thrilled for this next chapter of their life together to begin, and are so excited to celebrate their true love with family and friends on 10/31/25 - Happy Halloween!
