The summer of 2020 was a new time for all of us. For many, it meant being home alone. For others, it was an opportunity to explore new hobbies and interests with their newfound free time. During that summer, Danny split his time between working remotely and exploring the mountains of New Hampshire. Ashley had just begun her career as a nurse and was beginning to settle into life in the upper valley. On August 15 of that summer, a blind date brought them together in the town of Hanover at a little restaurant called Murphey's. Danny had difficulty recognizing Ash under her mask but was instantly taken by her kind eyes and beautiful personality. Ash was into him too but was shocked to see the scruffy beard Danny had grown during the 2020 lockdown (don't worry, the beard didn't last long). That first date turned into a beautiful night in Hanover as they walked around the town and sat out on the green together, talking for hours.
Months later, Ash and Danny were spending nearly every day together. As luck would have it, they only lived one block from one another. They would walk to each other's apartments and enjoy each other's company. They watched movies, went on hikes in the mountains, explored the restaurants in town, and spend the hottest days swimming together in Lake Sunapee. Before long, their companionship is something both of them knew they could not do without. It was clear to them that this was something special.
Nearly three years from when they met, life for Danny and Ash had changed quite a bit. Ashley had become a supervisor at her hospital and began her master’s program at Colby-Sawyer College. Danny was about to begin law school at the University of New Hampshire. Life was busy. Danny made it even busier when he asked Ashley to marry him on June 20, 2023, on the beach in Wells, Maine. SHE SAID YES!
Ashley and Danny are getting married on August 10, 2024, at Lake Morey in Vermont. Together and with their Corgi, Hector, they dream to build a beautiful home and family. They are so excited to see all of you and celebrate with you on their big day.
