During the first week of college in the Fall of 2020, Ashley and Chris met on one of the lawns at Liberty University. They talked about where they were from, what majors they had declared, and all the classic freshman college questions :).

During the Winter break following the first semester, Chris followed Ashley on social media, and they started talking more from that point forward. When they got back to school during the Spring of 2021, only their second semester of college, they ran into each other 6 times in 1 week! They knew God was trying to tell them something, so they decided to casually grab dinner together. At the end of the night, Chris asked Ashley on their first official date, which was 3 days later :). They've been together ever since, and officially started dating on February 19th, 2021.

They had about 2 and a half months of dating and then said the "L" word on May 1st, 2021! During that Summer, Chris traveled to stay with Ashley for a few days and get to know her family, and the next month, Ashley went to stay with Chris. Since that point, they have traveled to Kentucky together for Thanksgiving with his family, visited New York, did a summer camp together in 2022, and even flew to Nicaragua together for a mission trip!

On March 5th, 2023, Chris proposed <3! Their story has been pure bliss from the beginning, and they are ecstatic to share and celebrate the beginning of their lives together with all of you!
