We are having a "wedding cookie table" just like they traditionally do in areas like Pittsburgh, PA. Please bring a dozen or two of your favorite cookies to our wedding to share. We will provide bags for you to take home or eat there.

The beginning of the Pittsburgh Cookie Table is often debated, but it certainly grew in popularity during the Great Depression. Couples simply couldn’t afford a wedding cake and consequently their close friends and family would bake cookies instead, using favorite family recipes. Unique delights, from recipes passed down generations of Italian, Irish, Greek, and Eastern European settlers, became a sweet sensation!

Today the Pittsburgh Cookie Table is such a strong tradition, the wedding day just wouldn’t be complete without it!
