Thankfully I asked Ashley out on a two part date over two days and she was too compassionate to back out because she alleges I was hangry on our first date (an allegation I still deny). I arrived in a three cylinder rental that was quite embarrassing for me, but apparently gave off a mature impression that she said was a net positive (I may have complained about it slightly). You never know how car troubles will work out in your favor. The next day I brought her to a joint dinner where she unexpectedly met my family and I (allegedly) embarrassed her in front of them. I wrapped up the evening with a 2 hour presentation on German rock music. It is still unresolved on whether it was my impeccable game, or Ashley’s unwavering compassion that was most crucial on our first few dates.
