But you don't look like your profile pic at all! Ashley blurted as she swirled her cocktail. In the fall of 2019 at a local westside bar, Ashley and Josh met each other for the first date. First impression jitters mixed with strong cocktails made for an awkward evening. It's a Match! Send each other a message now! Tinder proudly chirped a few nights ago on each of their phones. Now in person, the evening had proceeded awkwardly unlike the app announcement that assured them both that this match was auspicious. 


Ashley left that evening bewildered by that date. 


She's got a cool car and likes whisky! I think I like her! Josh exclaimed to his friends.


We won't bore you with the details after that (we'll save that for the wedding), but despite the comically bad first date, Josh persisted to pursue Ashley, and she responded in-kind (mostly). They soon found themselves in unprecedented times as the global pandemic struck. Social distancing, close calls with fevers and chills, and the constant loom of the virus could not keep them apart. Despite the difficult times, both Josh and Ashley found themselves discovering the next phase of life together as they began to settle down and planted roots during difficult times, making the relationship official in December 2019. In the spring of 2021, Josh and Ashley were introduced to Henry, the feisty but lovable puppy that inevitably completed and intertwined their lives together.
