Cody and Ashley met at a local Boot Barn in Burlington, NC. Immediately a spark was lit! Cody called the store while driving home that day and asked Ashley on their first date. Little did they know they only lived 3 miles from each other and became inseparable from the moment they started dating. The two started officially dating on January 7th, 2019 by checking yes on a box of Duck Donuts and the rest is history!

They were engaged in Codys hometown of Pilot Mountain, NC. On September 16th, 2023, the day after attending a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. Cody planned a day trip riding the Harley Davidson. After hiking to the top of Pilot Mountain, Cody got down on one knee and popped the question!
