Our Wedding

<p>Jacob is a firefighter and Ashley is a Paramedic. While working at a junior varsity football game, providing EMS coverage, is where we first met. We seemed to hit it off from the start and even though the week after we met was a little shaky, mostly from me, Ashley, "ghosting" Jake, we had our first date a week later and the rest is history. We've shared many adventures together from our semi annual trips to Carowinds, where we just happened to get engaged at. The engagement itself was a complete surprise. Jake was working EMS&nbsp;at the time and had called my parents to have them come to the station he was working at to ask their permission. Which they gave to him. The next morning we were leaving to go to Carowinds for opening weekend. We got there and rode a few rides before Jake decided it was time, we walked towards the front and was going to go ride another roller coaster when we decided to go to the bathroom and when I came out he was standing at the post that marked North and South Carolina and a photographer was around and she was playing the part of not knowing what was happening and asked to take pictures. All of a sudden he had me turn around got down on one knee before having me turn around to face him. Complete surprise and I could not have been happier. We've had a long road planning the wedding, I'm so ready to marry my best friend and spend the rest of my life with him.&nbsp;</p>
