Sam and I met when we used to work at an auto auction. I had been gone for a while, and when I returned, he was the first face I saw that I knew hadn't been there when I left. I asked another coworker who he was immediately. I couldn't keep my eyes off of him. It was like a high school moment all over again. I knew he was new, but I didn't know this was his first day. When I saw him standing around, I yelled at him and then turned and walked away. I knew I had a crush, but little did I know he liked me too. We started talking a lot at work, and I would always grab him to come help me. We both asked each other out, thinking the other was just wanting to be friends. He asked me to go mini golfing, and I asked him to get ice cream. When we started dating on June 21, 2019, he was the first to say, "I love you." We spent a lot of time together. I was practically living with him. We moved into an apartment together in 2020. It wasn't ever intentional, but Covid happened. I got very sick and got tested for everything. All of it came back negative, but they said I needed to quarantine. I told Sam, and he let me stay, and on my last few days of quarantine, he asked me to move in. A couple of years go by, and we move into another apartment. In 2023, we had been together for 4 years. On December 30, 2023, we were engaged. June 21, 2025, will make 6 years. We made it past half a decade, and we are so excited to see what God has in store for our future!
