Nathan and I started talking in late September of 2023. We went out on our first date on October, 8th 2023. It lasted about 30 minutes and we both thought we blew it. However, we must not have found each other as awkward as we thought ourselves to be, because we kept texting. Nathan asked me out to 3 Sheep's Brewing in Sheboygan a week later on October 15th. On our second date is when we really connected. Nathan and I found out that we share many common values and interests. These included political viewpoints, love of history, 90s country music, farming and being family oriented. Nathan, however, was not a Lions fan which was a major turn off, and I considered leaving for a sec when i heard that. ( jk) Most importantly we discovered that we share the same Christian values. This was by far the most important for both of us. Our interest in each other only grew from there and whithin a couple of months it grew into love. Nathan and I decided we wanted to be together forever within a couple of months. In early August of 2024 we set a date, asked our bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers and got sized for rings, and Nathan asked my Dad's permission. On August 23rd Nathan and I took a trip up to my parent's cabin on the Rainbow Flowage, near Lake Tomahawk. We were wedding planning and Nathan kept saying "when I propose". This threw me off and I thought probably not for a little while yet. My best guess was Septemer because his big 30th is that month so it might have been special for him. We were sitting be the fire and Nathan said "why don't you tell your extended family we are geting engaged." I said that I didn't want to tell them until it was official. That's when Nathan pulled out a ring got down on one knee and proposed:) I knew we were getting married but the proposal at that particular time really took me off guard. (I'm guessing by the fact your reading this you know what my answer was.)
