They first met at Mission BBQ, at a catering for a wedding at Cypress Creek. It was Ashley's first day of training, and Jon had been sent as a last-minute food runner.

From then on, Ashley and Jon had developed a friendship where they would take whatever chance they could to talk to each other. Jon would check his schedule every time it was released and would ask for a change on his schedule is he wasn't scheduled on the same day as Ashley. Ashley would purposely volunteer to make sauce bottle (her least favorite job) so that she could go to the back and talk to Jon while she was working.

This continued for months and Jon was receiving pressure from his co-workers and boss to finally ask out Ashley. One day in late May of 2023, Ashley was making sauce bottles and Jon's brother-in-law walked up to her on his way out and said "Jon has a crush on you, but he is too afraid to ask you out, just thought you should know." Then he walked away.

It took about 6 more months from that moment for Jon to finally ask Ashley out. Jon says the day he fell in love with her was when they had watched the FSU-UF football game in millers together. It was a close game, which caused Ashley to become super competitive, which included trash talking ALL of the gator fans seated near us. From that moment on he had fallen head over heals. On the day he asked her out, he had loaded the food for a catering into the back of her car and asked "would you like to go on a date with me?" She smile and responded "Sure." Jon then ran back inside to the back of the kitchen and Ashley had to go to the catering so the food wouldn't be late. About a week later, he had planned their first date, or what he hoped would happen.

Jon had just become Kitchen Manager, so he had to send out all of the food for catering, Ashley was a caterer. On the Saturday that they had planned for their first date, Ashley had FIVE deliveries. Their date kept getting pushed back further and further. Eventually, it was 8pm, both of them still in work uniform and smelled like BBQ. They decided the best they could do was just head to Miller's and watch whatever football game was on at the moment and talk.

Ashley and Jon's favorite thing to do is talk to one another. Since then, they enjoyed going out to eat, bowling, and pin trading at Disney any chance they can get.
