The dress code for our wedding is garden formal. Think elegant but outdoor-appropriate—dresses, suits, and dressy separates in breathable fabrics are perfect. The celebration will take place entirely in the Hill Garden, so we suggest choosing footwear that’s comfortable for walking on grass and stone paths (block heels or wedges are great options!).
Are children invited to the wedding?
Yes, children are welcome at our wedding. Our guest list includes our parents, siblings, and nieces and nephews, so we look forward to celebrating with family of all ages!
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes! Free parking is available at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, with a dedicated lot right next to the Hill Garden entrance.
Will transportation be provided?
Guests are responsible for their own transportation. The gardens are just a short drive from most hotels, and ride-share services like Uber and Lyft are widely available in Birmingham.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony so we can all be present in the moment. Our photographer will capture everything, and we can't wait to share the photos with you afterward!
Is there a wedding registry?
We have chosen not to have a wedding registry, as your presence is the greatest gift to us. We are simply excited to have you join us for our special day.
Are there any special dietary accommodations?
If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your needs so everyone can enjoy the celebration.
What is the weather like in October in Birmingham?
October weather in Birmingham is typically mild, with temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to mid-70s. Evenings can be cool, so we recommend bringing a light layer just in case.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time for parking, seating, and to ensure everything starts smoothly.
