It was in early December of 2023; we put ourselves out there on the infamous dating app HINGE! Both thinking "why would we ever waste our time on such an app? There is no way you can find true love on a dating app!"

Jason was at home with his son wondering if any girls would ever swipe on a single father and Ashley was sitting at Neiman Marcus with her girlfriends eating chili, hesitant to even create a profile on the app! Ashleys fingers trembling as she swipes on one of her first potential matches...to Jason's surprise he had finally got a swipe! And not just any swipe, but one from Ashley. Jason tried to play it cool and decided to not reciprocate the swipe immediately; instead opting to respond to her in a few days! Jason knew though, if he didn't act in the right time, he may lose this Ashley forever! Lucky for Jason, a few days later, he returned the "like" and Ashley responded!

The texts and conversations began to take off, an energy and vibe that both of us were hesitant but also so excited about. In typical straight to the point Jason fashion, he asked Ashley to go out for brunch on a Sunday, picked the restaurant and time. Again, luck was on Jason's side as Ashley agreed to the date!

The day of the date arrived! Jason as excited as ever showed up early, flowers and fresh fruits in hand; Ashley always the busy body she is, communicated to Jason that she would be 30 minutes late. Jason was in doubt that his date would show, BUT the confirmation text of "I am pulling into the parking now" came and relief and excitement coursed through Jason's body. He ran out to greet (without knowing) his future Mrs. Kho.

Brunch came and went, almost 3 hours felt like 3 minutes. Before the date was over, Jason already asked Ashley for a second date which she was gracious enough to agree to! After brunch we said our good-byes, and without knowing both felt this positive and loving vibe about the other person.

From that first date, our journey as a couple began. 1 month, 2 months, 3 months goes by and time doesn't slow down for either of us, life is filled with joy and happiness. It was at that moment that Jason knew he was falling madly in love with Ashley.

Fast forward to August of 2024. Ashley wanted Jason to meet her family, at that time Ashley realized that she was falling in love with Jason as meeting her family was a big step. The couple took off to Michigan for the weekend. The trip went perfectly, so perfect that it was the day of departure back to Los Angeles that Jason, walking onto the plane, knew, "this is the woman I want to marry, this is my person and how lucky am I?"

A few months later, Jason mustard up the courage to ask Ashley for her hand in marriage. At first Ashley was so shocked she didn't answer "yes" or "no", Jason thought "uh oh!" but again his luck was on his side and Ashley answered with a resounding "YES", JJ (Jason's son) also asked Ashley to marry his dad as both JJ and Jason, knew Ashley was the ONE.

In a few months, we get to make this OFFICIAL and could not be more excited. As you all know, we lost our home in the fires and that could have easily torn us apart, but instead, we banded together like a real family and team does. While we lost some important things, we did not lose each other which is the MOST IMPORTANT thing. We will continue to battle as a team and both of us are so excited for our journey through life together.

We cannot wait to celebrate with you all! This wedding will bring us great light and joy in a year that has been filled with dark times and sadness. We really look forward to seeing each and everyone of you! Thank you for your support in our LOVE!
