LIFE IS FUNNY AND BEAUTIFUL... Our story actually starts about 12 years ago in Physics class at Red Land High School. We were just friends then - a senior and a junior - and we still joke that Evan was the only reason Ashley passed that class.&nbsp; Fast forward a few years to college, when the stars aligned and we both found ourselves single. We reconnected over social media in 2016 and soon had our first date. We spent it working on math homework (which Ashley didn't really need help with) and cooking a homemade dinner together. We didn't think much about our situation at first, but soon realized we shared a lot of similarities in what we wanted out of our lives.&nbsp; After Evan graduated from Penn State University in 2018, he moved to Lincoln, Nebraska for his first job, while Ashley finished her undergraduate degree at Messiah University in Pennsylvania. In 2019, we moved to Nashville, Tennessee where we feel our relationship really flourished. In our 6 years of living in Nashville, we've moved 3 times, bought our first home, owned 3 different boats (which Evan tried to pass off as engagement boats), celebrated Ashley's Master's degree, and made countless memories, many alongside our wonderful family and friends (that's you!).&nbsp; In April of 2024, on a hike through Olympic National Park, Evan proposed! After ensuring he wasn't going to suffer from cardiac arrest from the hike we were halfway through, Ashley said yes!&nbsp; From boat days, to hiking and traveling, to watching Friends for the thousandth time in our cozy home, we've become each other's go-to person, navigating life hand in hand.&nbsp; The things we love most about each other are genuine. Ashley loves that Evan has always seen her as an equal in their partnership, will always encourage her to learn, and push her to try new things. Evan adores Ashley's positivity and unwavering compassion for others, while also appreciating how she supports his new hobbies that he finds every 6 months. He's constantly in awe of her grace and intelligence, and couldn't imagine a better partner to take on adventures that are everything but relaxing.&nbsp;&nbsp; We've discovered that the best adventures are the ones we create together, and we feel so grateful for our partnership. Our journey wasn't a typical one and some could argue it was a bit out of order. However, we've never been ones to follow the status quo or put pressure on our partnership. We've had highs and lows over the past 8-plus years, we've taken risks and put a lot of faith in each other and the unknown future. But it's our journey and it's led us to decide on forever!&nbsp; Join us this summer as we say "I do" and kick off the next phase of our life together. We are SO excited to share this day with those who've been a part of our journey! As we like to say, if we can make it through Evan teaching Ashley how to back up a boat trailer, we can make it through anything!&nbsp;
