Julia is Ashley's sister (basically) and their sisterhood is unique and beautiful. Julia and Ashley have experienced a lot of life together and have learned a thing-or-two from each other. From long car rides and horseback riding to eating ice cream and bible studies, Ashley and Julia have talked and laughed (even cried sometimes) together through many seasons of life. Though Julia is younger, Ashley has learned many things from Julia like kindness, compassion, and loyalty. Ashley may be getting married first, but Julia is a role model in many other ways to Ashley.

The fact that Tyler is willing to be Ashley's bridesman says a lot about the type of guy he is. Growing up, Tyler was always making Ashley do the risky things first like taking a box down the stairs and riding her bike through a creek. However, Ashley got revenge by mistakenly putting paprika on his cinnamon-sugar toast. There's a reason Ashley did what Tyler said, because she loves him. Tyler has become a great husband to his wife, Sam and father to his kiddos! Ashley admires the man he is and is grateful that he is her brother.

Rylee is the kindest, most fun person around. Ashley and Rylee have been friends for close to 10 years and since day one, they have been having fun, adventuring, working together and loving their friendship all through the years. Rylee is always going above and beyond to love people and has taught and continue to teach Ashley about the importance of doing random acts of kindness for people. Life has not always been easy for either of them, but Ashley has been grateful to have Rylee.

Olivia and Ashley's friendship was an answer to prayer at the start of their college experience at Houghton. Olivia and Ashley have experienced a lot of healing and joy from their friendship and Ashley is grateful for the year (& basically a half) she was able to be roommates with Olivia. Olivia is passionate, talented, creative, spontaneous and has a huge heart for justice. Ashley appreciates their differences because it adds so much character to their friendship.

Liv Bull and Ashley became friends during Ashley's last year at Houghton and what a blessing it has been. Olivia is wise, faithful and fun! They first bonded over country music and The Bachelor. Olivia's love for the Lord and dogs makes her and Ashley a perfect match for friendship. Olivia has offered many hours of counseling and listening that has meant more than gold to Ashley. Olivia has a fun sense of humor and their friendship stands on the confidence of the Lord. Ashley loves having Olivia by her side, even if they are a couple hundred of miles apart, that doesn't matter one bit.

If there is anyone worthy of the title of Best Man, it is Brandon. He is always the most likable person in the room. Growing up, Brandon and Tyler did almost everything together. This even included their own creation called the Pushing Game. It is a game where you push each other down. (I know. What a creative game!) The two grew up playing and competing in almost every sport under the sun. Tyler loves beating Brandon in Ping-Pong (but losing in everything else…). Having an older brother like Brandon was an incredible blessing and honor. In fact, he is more than a brother; he is a best friend.

Being the youngest in the family, Trevor had the luxury of learning from the four coolest brothers ever. Even though his terrible twos lasted until he was about 10, Trevor was an excellent younger brother. He was even nice enough to not take Tyler’s soccer shutout record! Brandon, Tyler, and Trevor have spent a lot of time both playing outside and playing video games. Trevor is patient, kind, generous with his time, and always willing to share his ideas. In many ways Tyler looks up to him.

Simply put, Nick might be the nicest guy on the planet. He puts an enormous amount of effort into his friendships. Whether they are hiking, snowboarding, fishing, roller blading, etc., Tyler and Nick have done a lot of adventuring. Tyler especially appreciates the kayak and jet-skiing trips that the two have been on. Over the past few years, these two have become incredibly close. Between helping fix cars, teaching how to fish, jet skiing, or just having fun, Nick has been an incredible friend to Tyler.

Steve and Tyler have known each other since they were youngsters. Steve loves to bring humor to every situation. It’s hard to hang out with Steve for more than 10 seconds without breaking out in laughter. Something that will not be forgotten is the countless hours of Mario Kart that were played at Steve’s house before soccer games. The boys had a lot of fun during those few minutes after school. His obsession with the FitnessGram Pacer Test is of concern… but other than that, he is a stand-up guy and a great friend.

When anyone brings up the life of the party, Jon should be who comes to your head. Jon and Tyler grew up in school together and became best friends towards the end of middle school. One of Tyler’s fondest memories came after a surgery. Jon came to the hospital and the two spent the afternoon watching How I Met Your Mother and eating Oreos. Countless shenanigans have been had with these two. Whether it is skipping school to play paintball or spraying water at people outside of a bar, Jon is always a fun person to have around.
