Our Wedding

Miguel and Ashley's love story began as just a few casual conversations in passing at work. Separated by different departments, they finally had a night to get to know each other at a bar nearby one Friday night. Some number of cocktails and laughter late into the night, Miguel decided to indirectly ask "if I were to ask you out on a date, would you say yes?" While already tempted by the offer, Ashley was also hankering for a greasy late night snack. She offered to go on a date IF he bought her some fries, because the best way into a woman's heart, is laughter and food of course. Their first date took place at Thirsty Lion Gastropub on a summer afternoon out on the patio. Naturally, they proceeded to order one of each item off the happy hour menu, and some tasty cocktails for a few hours before Miguel offered to walk Ashley back to her car and went in for their first kiss. Not too long after, they found themselves on a second date to watch Crazy Rich Asians and to this day, Miguel still will stop to watch it whenever it's on tv. Deciding to kick things up a notch, Miguel invited Ashley down to the coast for the day where they played arcade games, enjoyed some wine, ice cream and watched the beautiful sunset right on the beach. Over the course of several months, they continued to talk and go out on dates even after work had moved their departments into separate buildings. Nothing was keeping them apart, and officially became boyfriend and girlfriend September 1st, 2019. Not too long after they went on their first trip together to Mexico. Their relationship was quickly put to the test when the pandemic hit, forcing them to spend quite a bit of time together with very few options outside to venture to but it all worked out. Because in 2021, they decided to move in together to their first apartment and shortly following, Ashley forced Miguel into a road trip to Idaho to get an adorable tri-color corgi puppy named Mooki. And from there, ended up purchasing their first home July of 2022. After many more trips and dates, in September 2023, during their four year anniversary, Miguel and Ashley decided to hit wine country for the weekend. At their very first winery stop, Miguel took Ashley on a brief walk around the gardens where he got down on one very shaky knee and for the first time ever, while completely speechless, managed to propose and the rest is history!!
