Ashley & Wesley’s story began when they first met on September 10th, 2022. They had both been invited to Graci & Evan Bratcher’s joint bachelorette/bachelor weekend at Lake Eufala. 

Their initial encounter was marked by casual nods and small-talk, but it was on the second day of the trip that they began to get to know each other better. Conversations flowed effortlessly, and sparks ignited, setting the stage for a potential romance. Wesley’s interest was unmistakable, but Ashley preferred to become friends first, rather than jumping straight into a relationship.

However, Wesley lived in Oklahoma, and Ashley lived in Texas, so them keeping up as friends was mainly through text and FaceTime. In discussing Graci and Evan’s upcoming wedding, they decided to attend as each other's unofficial date”, a decision that made their interest grow even fonder of each other.

In November, Wesley, Graci, and Evan came to visit Ashley during Homecoming weekend at DBU, but Wesley, showing his commitment to Ashley, visited a day early to spend more time with her. 
The next weekend, during Thanksgiving break, Ashley reciprocated the gesture by visiting Wesley up in Oklahoma, where, on November 26th, 2022, they made their relationship official!

Navigating the difficulties of long-distance with unwavering dedication, Ashley and Wesley made time to talk everyday and visit on most weekends. Their love deepened over the ensuing year as they discussed their future together, culminating in the bold decision to secure their wedding venue before getting engaged!

On January 20th, 2024, Wesley popped the question and proposed to Ashley at the picturesque Adriatica Village in McKinney, TX. It was a very cold day, around 34 degrees, amidst tears of joy and heartfelt embraces it was perfect.


Now, amidst the whirlwind of wedding preparations and continued long-distance visits, Ashley and Wesley eagerly anticipate their special day on September 29th, 2024, where they will embark on the next chapter of their love story surrounded by cherished family and friends.
