Our Wedding

Our love story began back in the late Summer of August 2019. Brian was finishing up his Information Technology degree in New Jersey while Ashley starting her new life with her incredible daughter. Both stumbled upon an online karaoke platform called "Twitch Sings" (think TikTok, but for karaoke!) that would soon change their lives forever for the better. Our first "duet" was "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors. Both of us had background in musical theater singing and performing, and we connected immediately. After several months of "virtual" hangouts, including planning a major fundraiser, Ashley and Brian grew even closer. Several months later, while Ashley was in New Jersey visiting dear friends, they decided to finally meet in person. At first, we just wanted to have fun and make eachother happy, not knowing where the road ahead would take us. However, just a few short months later, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and the country went into lockdown. Brian decided to come stay with Ashley and Anna while the world stood still, thinking he would only be staying for a few weeks. Two weeks turned into MANY months of quarantine unexpectedly, a situation that drove some couples to separate. However, Ashley and Brian's love continued to grow despite being around eachother all the time. Eventually, the world opened back up, and a job opportunity brought Brian back to New Jersey. As the years passed, Brian drove 3 hours from his job in New Jersey down to Virginia to see Ashley, knowing that her schedule taking care of a child and working fulltime in DC made it very challenging for her to come visit him. After moving down full time to start their life together, more challenges arose, including job loss, parenting, and unexpected "moves." However, through all the chaos, one thing remained certain: that they were stronger facing the challenges together with their love for eachother as their foundation.
