For our guests coming out of town and wanting to make a vacation out of their trip, I've listed some things to do in the nearby areas:
Lyons, CO (25 min from venue) - Small town with restaurants, shopping, and breweries all within walking distance. Not many hotels in the city but there are Air BnBs nearby. This town is on the way to Estes Park (see below)
Estes Park, CO (58 min from venue, my personal favorite) A beautiful, small mountain town where you can often spot elk roaming the streets. Shopping, dining, hotels (including the historic Stanley Hotel, a ghost tour is a must!). Plus the leaves should be changing color this time of year. The road up to Estes winds around the mountain a little bit, so just keep this in mind. If you are brave enough though, check out Old Fall River Road!
Loveland, CO (30-40 min from venue) - Large suburban area with plenty of hotels, restaurants, bars, shopping and things to do throughout. Good place to stay if you have transportation as it is a larger city.
Fort Collins, CO (1hr from venue) - College town with plenty to do! Tons of breweries (including the famous New Belgium Brewery, a tour is highly recommended), plenty of restaurants and a vibrant nightlife.
Denver, CO (1hr 30 min from venue, on a good day w/out traffic) - The heart of Colorado. If you want to visit Denver I'd recommend a full day trip, or staying down there for a few nights then somewhere closer for the wedding night due to the distance. There are unlimited things to do in Denver including the Denver Zoo, Aquarium, Meow Wolf, Union Station, Six Flags, the list goes on! You could maybe even catch a football game (Go Broncos!)
If you ever have any questions on things to do, where to eat or anything of the sort, please do not hesitate to reach out! We are happy to help our guests enjoy their time in Colorado.
