Things to Do

Tour Newport, RI

Newport, RI is a beautiful historic town within 15 minutes of all hotel accommodations. Newport has an abundance of shopping, restaurants, scenic tours, ice cream shops, and beautiful beaches. Many people enjoy the Newport Mansions, cliff walk, or enjoy the foodie experience with some of New England's finest seafood!

The shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance once in the downtown area.

Favorite Restaurants:

The Black Pearl

Best Clam Chowder in New England, indoor and door seating and in the hustle and bustle of all shops!

The Mooring

Amazing seafood with a upscale vibe. Indoor/outdoor seating overlooking the docks

41* North

A more upscale restaurant restaurant with a gorgeous deck overlooking the docks. Great for happy hour and appetizers.

Brick Alley Pub

Casual atmosphere and has great pizza and American bistro cuisine.

Inn at Castle Hill*

FABULOUS lawn overlooking the water with multiple bar areas and Adirondack chairs for guests to enjoy their cocktails! This is a favorite Happy Hour location and spot to watch the sail boats come into Narragansett Bay.

*This location is NOT within the downtown area and requires driving to get to.*

Newport Cliff Walk

In 1975, the walk was designated as a National Recreation Trail...the 65th in the nation and first in New England. The walk runs 3.5 miles and about two-thirds of the walk is in easy walking condition. There are amazing views of the ocean, cliffs and the mansions. This is an out and back trail/walk so be prepared with water and determine when you want to turn around!

There are Five unique segments to Cliff Walk:

1. Memorial Blvd. to Forty Steps

2. Forty Steps to Ruggles Ave.

3. Ruggles Ave. to Belmont Beach

4. Belmont Beach to Ledge Rd.

5. Ledge Road to Bellevue Ave.
