The Beginning (2019)
Ashley and Nicholas's story began as simple as you start your day-to-day life. Before meeting they were just two people going about their daily lives, waking up for work, going to school, and doing it all over again the next day. But for Ashley and Nicholas, a day at work would soon turn into a love that lasts an eternity!
Ashley and Nicholas met at Universal Orlando Resort while working Music Plaza games for Halloween Horror Nights. This would be the place that starts their story. In early September, on a slow night at Halloween Horror Nights, Nicholas was working Football Toss and Ashley working Disc Drop and Pumpkin Toss. Not knowing who either were and bored of the silence, Nicholas began some small talk with Ashley. As they both enjoyed the conversation, they also began to argue over the name of a plush that looks like a cat with bat wings, one calling it Bat Cat and the other deeming it Cat Bat… This argument still lasts to this day… Though not entirely important to their story, it's still funny to mention to this day.
Following their first meeting at work, Ashley and Nicholas would begin noticing each other more and more while at work and began texting and going on outings together, starting with their first date on December 6th, 2019 spending the day with each other at Universal Orlando Resort. Soon after their first couple dates, Ashley and Nicholas began dating on December 28th, 2019.
COVID… (2020)
Shortly after Ashley and Nicholas started dating, on March 17th, 2020 the world shut down. Unsure of what’s to come, the only thing that Ashley and Nicholas knew is that they had each other. Unable to see each other on a regular basis due to COVID-19 mandates, Ashley and Nicholas would continue their relationship texting, calling, and facetiming each and every day.
After more than a month apart they were able to set up a little COVID safe date together inside a garage sitting 6-feet apart. Spending the day together for the first time in over a month was emotional because although they wanted to be COVID safe they hated the fact that it kept them apart. As COVID mandates began to get lifted Ashley and Nicholas would be able to spend more time with each other again. Though COVID did a lot of terrible things to the world, Ashley and Nicholas’ relationship was even stronger afterwards. If a worldwide pandemic causing mass panic and hysteria didn’t pull them apart, nothing would ever stand in their way!
2021
During 2021 things finally started going back to normal for Ashley and Nicholas, both were able to go back to work, spend more time together, and make magical memories that they can look back on for years to come! Ashley resumed school at Valencia College graduating with her Associate of Arts in Spring 2021 then transitioning to the University of Central Florida to pursue her dream of teaching art to the visionaries of the future. Nicholas continued his education at the University of Central Florida throughout this time after completing his Associates of Arts in Spring 2020 at Seminole State College.
Ashley and Nicholas continued to love each other unconditionally and their love would only continue to grow as they were together, and with Ashley beginning to hint at wanting to see a ring sooner rather than later… From traveling to New York and meeting more of Ashley's family to multiple trips at theme parks around Florida to seeing Big Time Rush in concert together, Ashley and Nicholas made countless memories that they’ll cherish forever and continue to make memories as the years go on.
2022
As life went on, Ashley and Nicholas continued thriving together, loving every moment spent with each other and continuing to learn more about each other day by day. 2022 was a fairly calm year for the happy couple with theme park trips, date nights, and outings together being a regular. Along with their usual outings, this year also began a yearning to explore, thus starting the cruise era. In Spring and post-Summer Ashley, Nicholas, and family got to spend multiple days at sea and explore beautiful locations including Amber Cove, La Romana, Grand Turk, and more! Though a calm beginning to the year, it would explode with excitement later on…
Throughout the later months, Nicholas would begin his plan, “Operation Proposal” was underway. Working with his and Ashley’s family, Nicholas would recreate the exact place that they met by hand making the games Disc Drop and Pumpkin Toss. Hiding “Operation Proposal” behind a “Family Christmas Photo Session”, Nicholas was able to work with his and Ashley’s family to get her to the perfect spot where Nicholas would propose. On October 30th, 2022, Nicholas proposed to Ashley in front of friends and family creating a special and memorable moment for all. Not only did Nicholas propose to Ashley, but he also surprised her with a special engagement trip to Disneyland in California, a special place to both as they’d be sharing their first trip together. From that moment on the happy couple would begin the wedding planning!
2023 - Now
Originally stressed about wedding planning, Ashley and Nicholas learned to love the new experiences it brought! Attending wedding expos, talking with vendors, draining bank accounts (lol), and best of all getting to do it all together! Ashley and Nicholas were quick to begin organizing their perfect day starting with the date. There is a lot of significance to the date because it is the same as Ashleys Grandparents' anniversary. Ashley’s Grandparents played such an important role throughout her life and though they won’t be there physically during the wedding, they will forever be remembered. Following the decision of their date, the next decision was where to hold it. Walking through one of their first venues, they fell in love and immediately decided on the Orlando Science Center, a place of wonder, imagination, and soon to be the perfect wedding!
As wedding planning was in full effect, Ashley and Nicholas still made sure to take special moments for themselves so they wouldn't stress and overthink about the wedding. By May 2023, Nicholas had completed University and graduated from the University of Central Florida. Ashley continues her schooling with plans to finish by Spring 2025!
As time continues to pass, each day closer to the special day, Ashley and Nicholas can’t wait to see you at the wedding!
