Ashley and Alex met in the Spring of 2018 when Alex was finishing up his undergraduate studies at UNC-Chapel Hill. After graduating, Alex moved to Raleigh to begin working while Ashley finished her degree to become a registered nurse at Wake Tech. While in Raleigh, the pair enjoyed countless trips to the mountains and beaches of the Carolinas. In 2020, Alex returned to Chapel Hill to pursue his master's degree while Ashley worked as a SICU nurse at Duke University Hospital and completed her BSN degree from UNC-Wilmington. Alex returned to Raleigh in 2021 and the couple continued their travels to places like Chicago, New York, San Jose, and Washington, D.C., visiting with friends and family all along the way. In 2022, the couple received news that would bring Ashley to continue her studies at UNC-Charlotte in pursuit of her master's degree, taking them to Alex's hometown of Charlotte . While in their new city, Ashley and Alex have enjoyed reuniting with old friends and continuing to build their life together, getting engaged in NYC during the 2023 New Year festivities.
