GETTING TO THE VENUE Shuttles from the Marriott (3600 Centerpoint Pkwy) to the wedding depart at 5pm and 5:30pm. Shuttles back to the hotel depart 10:30pm, 11pm, and 11:30pm. Shuttles at midnight and 12:30 a.m. will take guests to Dick O'Dows and back to the Marriott at close! Ubers are also available! Just keep in mind that wait times are slightly longer than large cities. If you drive, you will have to valet your car, but the cost will be covered.

Our Wedding Party

Here's how we know our wedding party loved ones and the ways we spend cherished time with them.

Ashley and Johnny's world as siblings revolved around dinosaurs, Goosebumps, digging holes in the backyard (just for that one summer), and cooking up *masterpieces* in the kitchen. Johnny has always been there for Ashley to go on a spiral of punny jokes, deep dive into a random scientific discovery, and explore the great outdoors - oh, and eat some Detroit-style pizza of course. Today, they love to exchange crossword puzzles, silly videos, and stories of their jobs and travels to keep close even though they live in different cities. Johnny is a stellar software engineer in Boston, and Ashley is so proud of the man he has become!

Johnny DuBois

The youngest of the bunch and never one to sit still, Chris was often just a blur in the background of our childhood photos—racing by on a BMX bike or climbing something that he shouldn’t. A lifelong thrill-seeker with a love of motorcycle and boat racing, he lives his life as a non-conformist in the truest sense. He always had a mind for design — whether it was working on cars, bikes, or other projects during his youth. That natural talent led him to a career as a fluid dynamics engineer. Despite his 9-to-5, he maintains his quiet rebellious spirit that we’ve all come to admire.

Chris Plantz

John is Mark's older brother—and easily one of the smartest people he knows. Growing up, he was always building something in the garage: ranging from computers to most famously, a spud cannon that could launch potatoes into the next neighborhood. These days, John lives in Los Angeles, where he balances saving lives as a cardiologist with partying just as hard as he works. He’s always been the kind of guy who lives life to the fullest—equal parts brilliant and wild—and Mark has always looked up to him for both. Mark feels lucky to have him as a brother, and grateful to have him standing by his side for this special day.

Danielle and Ashley hit it off in Chicago in 2016 after being introduced by their mutual bestie, Brandon Alba. It was only a matter of time before the universe brought these sister soul mates together! Their hobbies include taking each other on shopping and dinner dates, yapping at the movie theater, cuddling with Little Bear, cackling over Jet's Pizza and glasses of Sauvi B, two-day slumber parties, picnics, and (naturally) talking to Rita on the phone. Danielle owns a home in Chicago and is a boss in the biotech world!

Ashley and Kyra met in Kindergarten at George P. Way Elementary ("Way Cool School") in Bloomfield back in 1999. The two became close in middle school film club and have been best friends ever since. Their past times include watching the Bachelor in Mary and Tim's basement, talking in their cars in the Plum Market parking lot, scamming a full face of makeup from Sephora free samples, devouring Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits, and every beautiful, precious, goofy little moment in between. Kyra is now a successful actress living in Los Angeles and Ashley couldn't be happier to see her live her dream.

Brandon and Ashley met at a Phi Delta and Pi Phi party called, "Red, White and Booze" in 2013. The two cracked up quoting Spongebob, which is still accurate of their friendship today. The friends love to over-use inside jokes, enjoy the Lake Michigan coast, go to happy hour in Streeterville and explore the world. From visiting each other when Brandon was in New York for medical school at Hofstra University, to hanging out with his family in Milwaukee, to exploring Portugal together in 2024, Ashley and Brandon's stomach-ache-inducing giggles can be heard around the globe. Ashley and Mark are thrilled to be moving to Cleveland alongside Brandon in 2026 as he also completes his year of fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.

Brandon Alba

Mark met Andy during their freshman year of college in 2012. Although they shared the same major, their friendship was forged through the occasional college misadventure—a rarity at Northwestern’s School of Engineering. As a Boston native, it was only natural that we became frequent visitors to Evanston’s sole Irish pub. From $5 pitcher nights at Nevin’s to various Beta house parties, the two have shared many memorable and occasionally ill-conceived experiences through college and beyond. Interestingly, Andy is set to get married just a few weeks before Mark—proving that coordinating schedules isn’t exactly our strong suit.

Andrew McConnell

Calvin and Ashley met while volunteering in Detroit for Summer in the City in 2010. Calvin would soon transfer to Andover High School where Ashley forced him to be friends, mostly because she was so impressed he could name her nail polish from memory (OPI Russian Navy). Since then, Ashley and Calvin are each other's biggest fans, no matter if it's about supporting each other to have another slice of Costco cheesecake or to celebrate one another's birthdays in Mexico. Calvin now lives in Los Angeles, but his laugh will always be a part of the DuBois household!

Calvin Williams

As cousins, Brandon and Ashley have literally been friends forever. From writing movie plots at Grandma and Grandpa's, to making up the rules of Monopoly, to discovering Clap Your Hands, to visiting each other every year during college, to all of the comedy shows and heart-to-hearts over Two Hearteds in between, the dynamic duo have always been besties and each other's career fangirls. Brandon and his fiance, Sarah, now own a beautiful historic home in Detroit with their cats and guinea pigs. Ashley and Mark are so excited to see Brandon and Sarah get married this year, too!

Erik and Mark met during their orthopaedic surgery residency at Northwestern in Chicago, where they spent just as much time grinding through surgical training as the did unwinding—famously at Timothy O’Toole’s Irish Pub. Now, he’s starting an exciting new chapter as a spine surgeon and a new dad, balancing a demanding career with family life like a pro. Mark is proud to have shared those unforgettable residency days with Erik and is grateful to have him as a groomsman.

Ashley has always admired her cousin Kacey and is so grateful to have grown extra close over the past decade! Growing up, the two always enjoyed hanging out with Grandma at the kitchen table, bonding over writing with glitter pens in school, sorting through Kiersten's hand-me-downs, and hanging out on Aunt Sandra's boat in Lapeer. Today, the girls love swapping stories about making their coworkers laugh, FaceTiming with Rowan, and doing bits about the humdrum quirks of society. Kacey now lives in Colorado with her husband, Ian, and two adorable kiddos, Reid and Rowan. Ashley is so excited to share this special day with her!

Cousinship has always been the best between the two A. DuBois! After Austin graduated from music school at the University of Michigan, he became a welcome pseudo-roommate with Ashley and Mark while building his reputation as a dueling piano artist in Chicago. Soon after, he moved to the city where the A. DuBois friendship grew stronger than ever. When the two feel like being out on the town, they love to frequent comedy clubs, casinos and sushi spots; otherwise, they're watching anything with Larry David and complimenting Starbucks baristas for not over-pouring milk in their coffees. Ashley couldn't be more proud of Austin for his move to Nashville where he continues to soar as a musician.

Anthony and Mark met during elementary school in Downers Grove, IL. Gregorich and Mark grew closer in middle school, bonded by their shared love of classic rock and countless adventures. From cruising around in Mark's ’97 Acura TL to causing their fair share of healthy trouble, the pair made the most of every moment. Gregorich is no stranger to hard work—he’s a former Marine and now drives an excavator for the union, handling business with the same grit he’s always had. And of course, he’s got one legendary claim to fame: starting the infamous “Free Bird” chant in Chicago back in 2012. Mark is proud to have him standing by his side as a groomsman.

Another hometown hero, Jake grew up in the same neighborhood in Downers Grove. Jake and Mark met during childhood and played Little League baseball together. Favorite pastimes include Beer Olympics and debating who’s the best drummer of all time (Neil Peart). As they grew older, the pair continued to grow closer over their love of music and weight lifting. Jake now lives in Kentucky with his wife Haley and has a baby on the way.
