Our Wedding

Our love story began at North St. Paul High School, back in 2010. We had many classes together in high school as well as many mutual friends that brought us together.

Over the course of our senior year, flirtatious banter was exchanged back and forth and our relationship as friends grew. As senior year passed and we entered into the summer months, we started facing the reality of going to different colleges in cities far apart. We remained friends our freshman year of college, but it was the summer of 2014 that our "real" love story began.

On July 6th, 2014, we became "official". Over the course of four and a half years, we watched each other graduate college, moved in to our own apartment, traveled around the US & even made it to Mexico a couple times, and made an endless list of other memories.&nbsp;

On February 25th, 2019, Cody popped the question on the beautiful sun-setting beaches of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic & of course Ashley said "Yes!!!!". Since then, we have been busy planning our beautiful wedding & moving out of our apartment and into our very own townhome in Blaine, MN. We cannot wait for this exciting new chapter to begin because #HereComeTheCommers.

FAQ's About Ashley & Cody's Wedding

DO I NEED TO RSVP AGAIN IF I ALREADY RSVP'ED FOR YOUR ORIGINAL DATE OF SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2020?

Yes! Everyone needs to RSVP&nbsp;again. You can do so by clicking on "RSVP" at the top of our website &&nbsp;following the prompts to respond. If you have any issues, please contact Cody or Ashley.&nbsp;

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, dressy suits, or a jumpsuit. Men should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What is the schedule?

Our ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM at Leopold's Mississippi Gardens- whether it will be indoors or outdoors is contingent on weather. We expect the ceremony will last about 30 minutes. Following the ceremony, we will have a cocktail hour from 5:00-6:00. From 6:00-6:30, we will do our grand entrances along with welcome speeches. Dinner will be served around 6:30 with a dance to follow. Our celebration will conclude at midnight.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

When you RSVP, there is an option to "Add a Message" before submitting your RSVP. Please put any dietary restrictions or allergies here that we should know about and we'll make sure to accommodate those for your meal.&nbsp;

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to our wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "No", so we can plan accordingly.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

There is a lot across the street from Leopold's Mississippi Gardens that is free for guests to park in.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

How should I RSVP my guest, whether they are attending or not attending?

If you have a guest included with your invite, when you RSVP, you will have the ability to RSVP for your guest, including food selection. Please edit the guest name on the RSVP to their actual name & not the generic "Plus One" if their actual name does not already reflect on the RSVP.&nbsp;

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Yes, please refer to our guest accommodations page within our website for more information on where and how to book a room under the group rate.

When should I book my hotel room?

To ensure you are able to get the discounted group rate, please book no later than July 30th, 2021.&nbsp;

Will transportation be provided to/from the hotel?

Yes! We have booked A&J Transportation&nbsp;to shuttle our guest to/from the hotel if they so choose to stay there. The shuttle we will be utilizing fits up to 12&nbsp;passengers, so if you would like to use this service, please be sure to arrive early enough to ensure your transportation to Leopold's Mississippi Gardens is guaranteed.&nbsp; Shuttles to Leopold's will begin at 3:15PM.&nbsp;The shuttle will be doing pick-ups from the Gardens back to the hotel at the conclusion of the reception beginning at 10:30PM.

Where are you registered?

We are registered at Target, Amazon, and Bed, Bath, & Beyond, but because we both have been "adulting" for a few years now, a registry full of household items was not fully necessary. If you wish to gift us for our wedding, contributions to a fund for our honeymoon and household renovations would be greatly appreciated. Please do not feel obligated in any way to gift us, as your presence at our wedding is the most appreciated gift of all! For more information on our registries, refer to the "Registry" link within our website.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #HereComeTheCommers so we can keep track of all your pictures!

To Our Amazing Family & Friends:

We hope you &&nbsp;yours are healthy and safe during this time, and we appreciate all the love and support we've received from each of you.Although COVID-19 has created much uncertainty, we will be proceeding with our new wedding date of August 21, 2021.We understand that the situation is in constant flux, but based on current CDC guidelines and recommendations of our state, we feel that we will be able to have a wedding that's safe to gather and celebrate. We will keep you informed if that should change, however.Thank you for your patience and understanding and we cannot wait to be together with you in person come August!If you already RSVP'ed for our original date of September 12th 2020, you will need to RSVP&nbsp;again for our new date!&nbsp;
