Ashley and AJ first met one another at Palm Harbor middle school, 23 years ago when they were 13 years old. The year after they met, Ashley and her family moved into the neighborhood that AJ lived in. From that point on, they were practically inseparable. Ashley and AJ can recall many memories of literally sitting outside on the sidewalk and doing nothing but talking to one another. About what? Teenaged angst? Prepubescent existentialism? Who knows what 14-year-olds talk about? But talk they did, a lot. The important thing is, that they loved to be in each other's presence, and would take any chance they could to be there. There were many days when AJ was grounded to his room (on some trumped-up charges, of course) and Ashley would come over to his house and hang out. Because although he was grounded, for some reason AJ's mother would allow friends to come over. And the one friend that always did, was Ashley.

As time went on, both Ashley and AJ eventually went to different high schools but maintained their friendship. After some time, AJ and Ashley's families moved out of the neighborhood, however, they maintained contact through social media.

Fast forward many years, and Ashley & AJ find themselves together again. This time, their friendship has grown into something they both quietly desired, wanted and needed from the start. Then as young, innocent teenagers and now as mature, insightful, and tenacious adults.

On the evening of February 25th,2023, AJ asked Ashley to marry him on Clearwater beach. And of course, Ashley said yes. They sat on the beach with their feet in the cold sand, holding each other, with joyous, loving tears in their eyes, ready for the next steps in their long, beautiful journey as husband and wife.
