In the area, there are multiple trout streams to fish and trails to hike. There are a few local state parks and a scenic overlook outside of State College near Whipple Dam State Park. If you are looking for more of a nightlife experience, you could explore the Penn State college bars in downtown State College. There are also several breweries and vineyards in the surrounding area.

In Milroy/Reedsville, there isn’t a whole lot, but State College is about 30 minutes away. Reedsville/Milroy has a Dunkin, sheetz, Rutters, dollar general and maybe a few other stores.
