Ryan and Ashley both grew up in the same town of Rogers, Minnesota. They attended school together from elementary through high school and rode the bus together majority of their childhood years. Crazy enough, the couple almost became neighbors during their high school years. The two always knew of each other and lived in close quarters all their lives, but they never crossed paths enough to cause a spark.

It wasn't until 4 years after high school that Ryan pulled his first romantic move toward Ashley... sliding into her Instagram DM's. He asked for her number, which she gave him. The two went on their first date 1 week later and talked for 4 hours at a coffee shop called the Annabelle House. Over some coffee, they chatted about their lives, family/loved ones, values, faith, and their histories and futures. Both of them say that the conversation could've continued for hours longer... but Ryan lost track of time during that first date and was late to work.

From that day forward, the two were inseparable. They hung out every day in the summer after that first date and fell in love with one another quickly. Ashley went back to school in the fall, but the long distance did not affect their relationship. If anything, it strengthened the love they have for each other. The two alternate visiting one another EVERY weekend.

Ashley quickly fell in love with Ryan's adorable smile, his heart for others, his selflessness, intentionality, and silly personality. And Ryan with Ashley's kindness, beauty, her ability to not take life too seriously, and her motivation for her future.

This is only the beginning of their love story. Ryan and Ashley pray for a beautiful future together full of love and joy. With their relationship centered in their Lord, Jesus Christ, they have the utmost confidence that their marriage will be one that is lived in sacrificial love.
