Around the end of May 2014 Ashley went to a friends house to hang out.

That's where Adam and her first met.

That night, while their friends were getting ready to call it a night, they sat around a kitchen table and talked and laughed all night long.

When Ashley went home the next day she knew something was so special about him. And she couldn't wait to see him again!

The only thing is, is that they were both having their own troubles in the present.

That's what they mean by, "Our love story isn't your typical love story."

For years they struggled and needed help. But it was only themselves that could give the help that they needed.

After plenty of close calls, God truly saved them each and every time.

They we're homeless and had nothing.

So many years outside and with little or nothing to eat.

Of course they tried plenty of times to get clean and drug free by staying with people who weren't addicted themselves.

But it rarely worked.

But they always stayed together.

They never wanted to be apart.

After years and years of running away from themselves, they finally had enough.

And it was finally time to get better.

They spent the first three years getting to know each other again.

After being together for five years and being not sober, they really didn't know who the other person was, yet alone who they were.

They got to experience this new sober life together!

There was definitely ups and downs, but they made it through, together!

They leaned on each other more than ever.

They gave each other patience and grace.

They fell in love more than ever.

They experienced what true love truly is.

They knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

And Ashley was patiently waiting for Adam to pop the question.

On October 31st, 2023, with candles lit all over their bedroom, Adam asked the question Ashley was patiently waiting to be asked!

No surprise on Ashley's favorite holiday.

Yet to learn Adam's original plan was to propose on Ashley's birthday, but Adam just could not wait!

Ashley knew something was up when Adam's hands started shaking a little in her hands.

After 10 Years together, this has been a long time coming!

Ashley said yes and now forever begins!
