When I arrived in France, I didn’t speak a word of French—and meeting Mayeul during that first week felt like the most unexpected and wonderful twist of fate.From the very beginning, he swept me off my feet. Whether it was romantic trips to Paris, Mont-Saint-Michel, Lake Como, Amsterdam, or skiing in the Alps, I truly felt like I was living a dream. Mayeul has always known how to make me laugh, and I’ve never met someone so kind, patient, and loving.He helped me learn French, shared his culture and cuisine with me, and was always there when I missed home. I’ll admit, I was hesitant at first—I was only supposed to stay in France for a year. But slowly, everything changed. We both knew early on that we shared the same goals: to get married and build a family.Of course, there have been challenges—blending our cultures and navigating the visa process hasn’t always been easy—but love found its way. When Mayeul proposed in front of the Miroir d’eau in Bordeaux, I said yes with all my heart.Now, we’re enjoying life in France and waiting for news on his green card. Wherever we end up, we know that being together is what matters most. We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you—our dearest friends and family.Notre HistoireQuand je suis arrivée en France, je ne parlais pas un mot de français – et rencontrer Mayeul cette première semaine a été le plus merveilleux des hasards.Dès le début, il m’a complètement charmée. Entre les escapades romantiques à Paris, au Mont-Saint-Michel, au lac de Côme, à Amsterdam, ou encore nos journées de ski dans les Alpes, j’avais vraiment l’impression de vivre un rêve. Mayeul a toujours su me faire rire, et je n’ai jamais rencontré quelqu’un d’aussi gentil, patient et aimant.Il m’a aidée à apprendre le français, m’a fait découvrir sa culture et sa cuisine, et a toujours été là pour moi lorsque mon pays me manquait. J’avoue que j’étais un peu hésitante au départ — je ne devais rester en France qu’un an. Mais peu à peu, tout a changé. Nous avons vite compris que nous partagions les mêmes envies : nous marier et fonder une famille.Bien sûr, il y a eu des défis — notamment en ce qui concerne nos différences culturelles et les démarches administratives — mais l’amour a trouvé son chemin. Quand Mayeul m’a demandé en mariage devant le Miroir d’eau à Bordeaux, j’ai dit oui de tout mon cœur.Aujourd’hui, nous profitons de la vie en France en attendant des nouvelles concernant sa carte verte. Peu importe où la vie nous mènera, ce qui compte le plus, c’est d’être ensemble. Nous avons hâte de célébrer ce nouveau chapitre avec vous — nos chers amis et notre famille.
