Lets start at the beginning shall we...

Justin and I met at Blinn College in 2009. My friend Shunetra knew his friend CJ and one day we all hung out together. Me, not knowing anyone but Shunetra, tended to be on the quiet side most of the time. But, as some of you may know, Justin has a way of getting people to open up and conversate. We got to know each other and became friends and I started to catch all kinds of feelings for Justin. But, me being me, I kept those feelings to myself.

Justin and I got very close that first semester of college but at the end of the semester we did go our separate ways. I moved back to Houston and joined the army soon after and Justin went to a different college in Texas City. We remained friends over the years though and Justin became someone I knew in my soul I could depend on no matter what.

In April 2021, I finally told Justin how I really felt about him. He in turn told me how he felt about me and, low and behold, we'd loved each other much longer than either of us realized. It's really funny when you think about it. Anyway, long story short, we became a couple in May 2021 and moved in together August 2021.

This past year has brought us even closer than together and the love we have for each other flourishes daily. We push each other to greater heights and soar together. And on January 24, 2022 Justin asked me to marry him on bended knee and... I SAID YES!!!
